After a couple of delays and postponements, the St. John Sheriff’s Office’s free fishing camp for children caught on Saturday at the Bonnet Carre Spillway Boat Launch near Norco.

The St. John Sheriff’s Office worked with the 40th Judicial District Children & Youth Services Planning Board and Prevention Committee, as well as several local government agencies and businesses, to sponsor the event.

Children from across the community were invited.
