LAPLACE — Louisiana Federal Credit Union is packing pirogues full of school supplies with plans to donate it all to five local classrooms in need.

Supplies can be donated through Friday at any Louisiana FCU branch.

Organizers welcome the local community to make school supply donations at a branch or nominate a teacher in need at LouisianaFCU.org/Pack-the-Pirogue.

Pack the Pirogue is Louisiana Federal Credit Union’s annual school supply drive. Each year, the organization collects school supply donations from staff, members and the local community.

“Louisiana Federal Credit Union believes every child deserves the chance to start the school year with the right tools to succeed,” a company release said.

Louisiana Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution serving more than 32,000 members in the River Parishes and Tangipahoa Parish area.
