Sheriff’s Office looks for missing man in Bonnet Carre Spillway.

St. Charles Sheriff Greg Champagne is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing Metairie man, last believed to have been in the Bonnet Carre Spillway.
Clarence Schlamp was reported missing in Jefferson Parish by his girlfriend Aug. 11 after she was unable to reach him by telephone. On Aug. 14, Schlamp’s gold Toyota Tacoma was located near a campsite in the Bonnet Carre Spillway with a note stating he was in the area and would return soon.
Schlamp was last heard from Aug. 10 and currently his last known location is in the Bonnet Carre Spillway. It is believed that Schlamp was camping alone, and may have gone hiking or swimming in the area.
Search teams from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office are searching for Schlamp in the Bonnet Carre Spillway using foot patrols, all-terrain vehicles, boats, trucks and drones.
Schlamp is a 61-year-old white male, with green eyes, gray hair, is approximately 5’10” tall and 135 lbs. Schlamp resides on Quincy Street in Metairie.
