LAPLACE — Louisiana FCU is hosting a free financial literacy workshop on how to prepare for college.

The federal credit union event is open to anyone in the community and takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at the FCU Training Center, 406 E. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

During this workshop attendees will discuss FASFA, admission requirements and financial assistance available for college.
