GARYVILLE — Raven Warren is running for School Board in St. John the Baptist Parish.

At 4 p.m. Monday, a three-judge panel reversed a previous ruling from district court, thereby reinstating Warren’s candidacy for the position of St. John the Baptist Parish School Board District 6. The election is scheduled Nov. 6.

Robert Chaisson, Mark Johnson and Stephen Windhorst delivered the ruling, according to Cheryl Landrieu, clerk of the State of Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.

Warren, who qualified July 20, listed a Garyville P.O. Box and “no party” affiliation upon qualification. Her residency in District 6 was challenged but ultimately upheld by the court system.

Warren is challenging incumbent Keith Jones, a recent School Board president, for the District 6 seat. Jones listed a LaPlace P.O. Box and Democrat affiliation during qualifying.
