Shumaker: Sign up for RPCC’s fall semester

After such a long and hot summer, we look forward to some cooler weather. With the coming of fall, we also have new classes beginning at the Reserve Campus.
Registration is currently open and classes begin Aug. 15.
It is not too late to come in and sign up for the program that could change your life: Whether you are looking to obtain a Technical Degree in one of the many craft fields such as Process, Instrumentation, Refrigeration, Electrical or Welding.
A Business degree or Maintenance/Millwright degree or diploma programs are also popular and available. River Parishes Community College, Reserve Campus is ready to serve the residents of all of the River Parishes.
Our classrooms are ready and our labs are fully stocked with all of the tools needed for that special hands-on training that will help our graduates get those local jobs.
The jobs are here and Industry is ready to hire local graduates, so there is no reason to wait any longer to make that move towards a better future for you and your family.
Transfer degrees to any state university are becoming very popular with the local community.
Imagine a two-year degree that transfers to Louisiana State University (LSU) or any State University in Louisiana.
The cost savings alone is well worth attending a local Community College.
Local high school students are beginning their college paths early with dual enrollment classes for high school and college credit.
There is a large increase in these students as they get a head start on college credits that will transfer after graduation.
River Parishes Community College, Reserve Campus is ready to serve the residents of all of the River Parishes. Late registration started Wednesday, and the last day to get into classes for the fall semester is Aug. 14.
