St. James I-10 lane closures planned; more Hale Boggs work set

ST. JAMES PARISH — Interstate 10 Westbound will experience an inside lane closure from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blind River in St. James Parish while crews perform a routine bridge inspection.

The closure will allow vehicles 12-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone as the road stays open for regular traffic.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development also announced Interstate 10 Eastbound would experience an inside lane closure from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 1 at Blind River in St. James Parish while crews perform the same bridge inspection.

The closure will allow vehicles 12-feet wide or smaller to pass as the road is open for regular traffic.

HALE BOGGS PAVEMENT WORK INCLUDES FRIDAY LANE CLOSURES

ST. CHARLES PARISH — The Hale Boggs Bridge’s right southbound and northbound lanes will have a moving lane closures from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday from Louisiana 48 to Louisiana 18.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said the closures are part of a $400,000 project to install pavement markings associated with recent concrete work.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.
