RESERVE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office will conduct golf cart inspections from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday and July 25 at sites in Reserve and LaPlace.

On Wednesday, inspections will be held at Reserve Bantam playground on Railroad Avenue in Reserve.

On July 25, inspections will be available at LaPlace Elementary School on Greenwood Drive in LaPlace.

St. John Parish residents may drive their golf carts on designated parish streets provided the golf carts pass inspection, are registered with the Sheriff’s Office and the Office of Motor Vehicles, and cart owners abide by ordinance regulations.

The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office serves as the agency in charge of inspection and regulation for the legal operation of golf carts on parish roads as mandated by an ordinance passed last month by the St. John Parish Council.
