LULING — St. Charles Parish will hold a hurricane preparedness information session for residents from 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 10 at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center in Luling.

The information session, sponsored by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, features key parish staff presenting vital information for residents to know for hurricane season.

Program Director Michelle Higgins said hosting this session is a way to reach out to the residents and engage volunteers to be prepared.

“St. Charles Parish is very proactive when it comes to hurricane preparedness, and we hope to strengthen the knowledge and confidence of our residents to do the same,” Higgins said.

Attendees are invited to ask questions, and light refreshments will be served.
