The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office cooking team and Sheriff Mike Tregre served food and southern hospitality Monday for sheriffs from throughout the United States who came to New Orleans, the host site for the National Sheriffs’ Association Annual Conference.

The SJSO dishes — bananas foster, pastalaya and shrimp and andouille egg rolls — were among the crowd pleasers at Louisiana Night.

The event, held as part of the NSA conference, featured a variety of food prepared by several Louisiana sheriff’s offices, as well as music and other entertainment.
