LAPLACE — Buttons & Bows Indoor Playground is closing its doors at 2021 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace at 6 p.m. Sunday.
A liquidation sale of all items in the building will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday or until everything is gone. Only cash is accepted, and all sales are final.
Owner Jamie Angotti said she is grateful to everyone who has shown a great deal of love and support for the past four months. She said she plans to reopen the business years down the road, outside of St. John the Baptist Parish.
The location opened in February and celebrated a ribbon cutting with parish officials the next month.
Buttons & Bows featured two party rooms, a certified safe play structure for children 3 to 12 years old, a baby playground for infants and toddlers 2 and under, a virtual reality playground, a snack station, arcade games and 11 imaginative play rooms in an 18,000-square foot structure.
The news is similar to that of LaPlace Skate Center, which closed in May, just five months after opening its doors to the community.
Lack of public support made the business unsustainable, according to LaPlace Skate Center owner Nolan Noel Sr.
