LAPLACE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Parks and Recreation Department has opened the Parish’s public pools for the summer swimming season.

The “Alex Roland Reese” swimming pool on the East Bank is located at 194 REGALA Park Road in Reserve, and the West Bank pool is located at 136 Castle Drive in Edgard.

The Parks and Recreation Summer Camp and other parish camps will have an opportunity to use the facility during private hours, and the pool will be open to the public on Tuesdays through Sundays throughout the summer.

Additionally, splash pads at REGALA and Thomas F. Daley Memorial Parks are open Tuesdays through Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Water aerobics classes are still being finalized.

• Monday: Closed

• Tuesday-Thursday: 4 to 8 p.m.

• Friday: 3 to 5 p.m.

• Saturday: 2 to 6 p.m.
