LAPLACE — El Mexicano in LaPlace sported a refurbished outside look this week after replacing its front sign.

The move eased worries that the business was closing after signs came down earlier this month.

Staff members stressed the restaurant continues to serve St. John the Baptist Parish and beyond from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 1036 W. Airline Highway.
