RESERVE — For the last 14 years, River Parishes Community College-Reserve Campus, HVAC Master Instructor Terry Carmouche has presented his Honors Graduates with the Tom Tebbe Award.
Thomas A. Tebbe is the former National Programs Director and current Education Consultant for HVAC Excellence, a not-for-profit organization that provides validation programs for students, technicians, teachers and HVAC programs.
Tebbe taught Carmouche, so he created this Award in his honor. For the first time, five of Carmouche’s graduates received this prestigious recognition. As outstanding students, each received an award-winning Kershaw Knife.
Each one received Employment Ready Certifications validating they retained the skills and knowledge necessary for employment in the HVAC field. College officials said all of the exceptional graduates got jobs before graduation.
