LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish has a better opportunity to keep it clean thanks to Express Car Wash, which celebrated the grand opening of its LaPlace location last week.

The new site is located at 472 Belle Terre Blvd., and owner Johnny Schillace said it offers top-of-the-line products, along with a friendly staff for a consistent and enjoyable experience.

Express Car Wash Owner Johnny Schillace is joined by Parish President Natalie Robottom during the LaPlace location’s grand opening and ribbon cutting.

Schillace, who also owns two other locations in Hammond, said a smart phone app would be available in the next few weeks so customers can stay up to date on specials, purchased plans and more.

There are four wash options to choose from and each includes Spot Free Rinse, Power Dry and the use of free vacuums.

Several packages are also offered for the frequent user and gift certificates are available.

A one-time car wash starts at $5, and monthly unlimited service starts at $19.95, which allows customers to get their vehicle washed once a day.

Once a monthly plan is purchased, a sticker is placed in the front window that allows for bypass of payment.

First responders in marked vehicles wash for free, according to management.

Business hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Parish President Natalie Robottom, her staff, the Economic Development Department & committee member Peggy Joseph recently joined Schillace, General Manager Vic Peco and staff to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting.

“We are pleased that Express Car Wash has chosen LaPlace and welcome them to St. John the Baptist Parish,” Robottom said.

“We wish Mr. Schillace, Peco and staff the best of luck.”
