- April 12, 1984: A surprise coffee honoring Beverly Robein, retiring Red Cross Service Center manager, was enjoyed at the West 5th Street office in LaPlace. April 8, 1994: Robert Kruebbe displays the 14-point white tailed buck, which he harvested in Woodville, Miss. Kruebbe is the recipient of L’OBSERVATEUR’s $100 Big Buck award.
