Sylvia Victoria Trapani of LaPlace passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 30, 2018.

Sylvia Victoria Trapani

She was born on Dec. 23, 1942, in Laredo, Texas. She was a proud 75-year-old lady, a gentle soul who loved to read, dance, eat chocolate, spend time loving and nurturing her family, and most of all, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She often enjoyed taking trips to visit her family in Laredo. She studied pre-nursing at Del Mar College, then later was very successful working in real estate, moving on to dedicate her life and time to caring for and shaping the lives of her grandchildren.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Tina Lucas; her son, Tony Trapani; her daughter, Nicole Trapani; her grandchildren, Marissa, Layla and Anthony Jr.; her great grandson, Kaden; her siblings, Margarita, Charlotte, James (Martha) and John; her 34 nieces and nephews and many more up-and-coming.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Juan Garza; her brother, Fernando Garcia; and her son-in-law, Ronald (Roscoe) Lucas.

Sylvia is gone from this earth but not from our hearts. She will always be loved and remembered for her loving heart, beautiful smile and contagious laugh. We will miss and love her forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Saturday, April 7 at 1 p.m.
