LAPLACE — The 2018 Catholic Youth Leadership Award Scholarship students are Alexandra Martin and Brandon Dillon.

They were chosen as Ascension of Our Lord, Knights Of Columbus, Council 9623 winners.

The recipients were presented a plaque and check at the Knights Of Columbus 9623 meeting on Monday and now represent the Council in the next level of competition.

“The Knights of Columbus truly care about the Catholic values that these two young people possess,” a Council 9623 said. “We are aware that these outstanding students have already made great contributions to their communities, as well as to their church parishes and schools.”

Organizers hope the recognitions encourage the students to forever hold true to their Catholic values and embrace the leadership roles they are asked to fulfill.
