Alena Marie Populis departed this life on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the age of 50.

She was daughter of Larry and Louise Bartholomew Salsberry; mother of Kyla Louise Louis and Davis Populis Jr., sister of Delise Louise Flewellen and Brian Salsberry; and grandmother of Alajuwon “AJ” Jackson Jr.

Alena was beloved by many family and friends and will be deeply missed. Also, Alena was a graduate of St. James High School and Plaquemines Junior College and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 25 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Greater New Plymouth Rock Baptist Church, 110 NW 13th St. in Reserve on Saturday, March 17 at 11 a.m.

Interment is private.
