Sidney J. Audiffred Jr., 76, of Forsyth, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Decatur, Ill.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 2 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
Sid was born Aug. 6, 1941, in Reserve, the son of Kaiser Audiffred and Fritz (Ruiz) Audiffred.
He married Fay A. Laiche on Aug. 14, 1965, in Garyville.
Sid retired from Caterpillar in 1999, after 34 years of service, as Large Mining Product Manager. He was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes and also an active resident of the Village of Forsyth.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fay; children John Douglas Audiffred and wife Debora of Ballwin, Mo., and Amy A. Audiffred of North Aurora, Ill.; six grandchildren, Eric, Jordan, Brian, Grace, Sydney and Joe; and one brother, Martin Audiffred, of LaFayette.
Sidney was preceded in death by his parents.
