John Thomas “Tom” Mills, 73, of Reserve passed away on Feb. 19, 2018.

He was born in Oakville, Texas, on Nov. 22, 1944.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Mills; daughters Jennifer Mobley (Gary) and Stephanie Damitio (Dan); his grandchildren, J.T. Naquin, Heather Loupe and Sarah Damitio; his sister, Margaret (Sissy) Goebel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Mills; mother Hazel Mills Mussman; and his siblings, Jack (Shelly) Mills, Louie (Booky) Mills and Pat Mills Kerr.

He was the most amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

The Greater Baton Rouge Model Railroaders were so special to him. He cherished his relationship with them.

Tom was a remarkable man and he will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on March 3 at 10 a.m. at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

Visitation is from 9 to 10:00 a.m.
