LAPLACE — All schools in the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District will remain closed on Friday (Jan. 19).

District officials cite water system issues impacting the parish as the reason for the closures.

All Maintenance Department employees and the head custodian at each school should report to work at their normal work time, School District official said.

Other who have announced school closings include Riverside Academy and St. Peter School in Reserve and St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace.
