All St. John the Baptist Parish Public Schools will be closed Thursday (Jan. 4).

The School District made the announcement this afternoon, citing water pressure problems being experienced throughout St. John Parish.

Maintenance employees and all Lake Pontchartrain Elementary staff should report to work as scheduled, School District officials said.

St. Peter School in Reserve also announced it would close Thursday.
