LUTCHER — Lorain Landry, RN, was named St. James Parish Hospital 2017 Employee of the 3rd Quarter.

Landry has worked at the hospital for 10 years and serves as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. A 1984 Graduate of Ascension Catholic High School, she attended Spencer Business College while working as a nurse assistant at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She then attended and graduated from Charity School of Nursing in 1993.

Admission Specialist Shannon Jackson nominated Landry, describing her as a true and dedicated employee.

“She does her job, she does it well and that’s THAT,” Jackson said. “Her dedication to her patients is awesome. She makes sure they get the best care possible and before they leave the ER, she always asks them if there is anything else she can do for them.”

Landry said she wanted to thank her teammates and co-workers, because “being told you’re appreciated is one of the simplest and most uplifting things you can hear.”

“I am glad to say that I did not do it alone,” Landry said. “I had help from a great group of co-workers that supported me every day and St. James Parish Hospital backing me. Thank you!”
