Steven Faucheux was among the St. John Sheriff’s Office officers who participated in a volleyball game with students at John L. Ory Magnet in LaPlace Oct. 18 in observance of Student Pledge Against Gun Violence Day. The pledge asks students to keep guns out of schools and to avoid the urge to pick up a gun to settle disputes. It also asks students to influence their friends to stay away from gun violence.
