Heman Cleve LeBlanc Sr.

Heman Cleve LeBlanc Sr., born Nov. 10, 1934, peacefully entered into eternal rest Monday, Oct. 9, 2017.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanna Cashio LeBlanc; children Chantel Jacob (Callan “Tommy”), Joelle LeBlanc (special friend, Leslye), Crissy Boriel (Jose´), Anita, Joseph and Terri LeBlanc; grandchildren Selby, Jake, Tallan, Caliana, Michelle and Clayton; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, Sybil Newcomb, Adrian LeBlanc and Madge Kollatt (Frank).
He was preceded in death by his son, Heman Jr.; parents Velina Gaudin and Charles and Beatrice LeBlanc and a brother, Carl LeBlanc.
A veteran of the U. S. Army, he was employed by Avondale Shipyards and Nalco Chemical Co. He enjoyed collecting coins and really loved doing his word search puzzles, even carrying the book with him wherever he went.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to Our Lady of the Lake Doctors and Nurses for their support, care and patience.
In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
A visitation in his honor will be on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave. in Lutcher, LA from 10 a.m. until funeral time at 1:30 p.m.
Burial will follow in St. John Memorial Gardens, 2205 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.
