Eunice Theresa Millet Melancon

A native and resident of Garyville, Eunice Theresa Millet Melancon passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at the age of 87.
Eunice was a member of St. Hubert’s Catholic Church Choir, Garyville VFW Auxiliary, St. Hubert Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and Garyville Home Demonstration Club.
A Funeral Mass was held Sept. 27 at St. Hubert’s Church in Garyville. Interment followed at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Reserve.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Terrio (Danny); three sons, Wendell (Nemo) Melancon, Terrell Melancon and Timmy Melancon (Debra); grandchildren Nathan Crotty (Tanya), Bethany Kincheloe (Justin), Donny Terrio, Ian Melancon, Claire Beard, Haley Melancon, Julie Melancon and Wesley Melancon; two great grandchildren, Duane Crotty and Abigail Kincheloe; and two step grandchildren, Deryk Kincheloe, and Haley Madere.
She is also survived by one sister, Lavonne Brady (John), one brother, Arthur Millet, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Joseph Melancon; parents Leonce Millet and Emeline Duhe Millet, son-in-law Duane Crotty; brothers J. C. Millet, Leonce Millet, and Robert Millet; and sisters Louise Pellissier Lemoine, Florence (Toonie) Porta, Helen Brady, Doris Louque Vicknair, Audry St. Pierre, and Ferrell Ann Chauvin Stockton.
