School Board honors former member Carl Baloney Sr.

St. John the Baptist Parish School Board members, led by Board President Ali Burl extended sympathy to the family and friends of Carl Baloney Sr. at their most recent meeting. Baloney, who passed away this year, is a former Board member.
The School Board adopted a memorial resolution and presented a plaque to family members Aug. 18.
Burl said he contacted the Louisiana Secretary of State’s archivist, who confirmed Baloney was elected to the School Board in 1972 , sworn in in 1973 and served out his term.
