RESERVE — Music fans of New Orleans-born legend Fats Domino can enjoy a tribute concert in his honor this month.

St. John Theatre is presenting “A Fats Domino Tribute” by Al “Lil Fats” Jackson at 7 p.m. Aug. 26 at the theater, 115 West 4th St. in Reserve.

Tickets, which are $25, are on sale at Allied Express in LaPlace and at stjohntheatre.com.

Expect bridge lane closures in Gramercy

GRAMERCY — Southbound Louisiana 3213 at the Mississippi River bridge in Gramercy will have outside lane closures between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday while crews perform a routine bridge inspection.
The closure will allow vehicles 12-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone.

The road is open for regular traffic, but oversized vehicles must detour using U.S. 61 South to I-310 South to Louisiana 3127 North.
Northbound Louisiana 3213 at the Mississippi River bridge in Gramercy will have outside lane closures from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The northbound and southbound outside lanes will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

River Road work planned in Destrehan

DESTREHAN — Both Directions River Road between the I-310 and Ormond Blvd. in Destrehan will have single lane closures with flagging operation and shoulder work from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and Sunday while work crews perform concrete and asphalt work.
This closure will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone.
