Reserve convenience store employee robbed Monday; police ask for help

RESERVE — A Reserve convenience store employee was threatened and robbed this week, and authorities are asking for the public’s help locating two suspects.
According to the St. John the Baptist Parish’s Sheriff’s Office, an employee leaving Birdie’s Convenience Store at River Road and Central Avenue in Reserve was robbed at approximately 9:20 p.m. Monday. Police said the employee was leaving the store when two unknown male subjects robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money. Both fled the scene on foot behind the store.
No injuries were reported.
Little descriptive information on the assailants has been released, with police only publicly saying they were dressed in dark clothing.
