Courthouse Roundup: Reserve man guilty of having obliterated number firearm

Dequez Gray, 22, of Reserve, pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a firearm with an obliterated number or mark and was sentenced to three years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on three years supervised probation.
In other St. James Parish Courthouse decisions:
• Quentin Albert, 33, of Paulina, pleaded guilty to possession of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance and was sentenced to five years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that Albert serve the first three years of the imposed sentence, and the remaining two years be suspended.
Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on three years supervised probation.
• Jordan Champagne, 29, of Lutcher pleaded guilty to possession of a schedule III controlled dangerous substance and was sentenced to three years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on three years supervised probation.
• Chad Rodrigue, 31, of St. James, pleaded guilty to illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and was sentenced to two years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on two years supervised probation.
