HAHNVILLE — St. Charles Parish officials are urging residents to donate blood to JJ Robertson at a replacement drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 3 in the main lobby of the St. Charles Parish Courthouse, 15045 River Road in Hahnville

“We try to host at least a yearly blood drive to help out the community,” Parish President Larry Cochran said. “This year, we partnered with The Blood Center to help the Saints’ biggest fan — Mr. Jarrius JJ Robertson. We have set a goal of 25 donors.”

Cochran and the St. Charles Parish Council are set to proclaim Organ Donor Awareness Month at their July 31 meeting.

Robertson is scheduled to receive the proclamation in person.

Donors are asked to bring their ID and eat a sufficient meal before giving blood.

They can sign up by visiting the reception area on the third flood of the courthouse, emailing krobicheaux@stcharlesgov.net or calling 985-783-5000.

The drive will be conducted by The Blood Center.
