Lloyd L. Whitehead Sr. passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the age of 63.

He was a native of Houston, Texas, and a resident of LaPlace.
Lloyd served in the U. S. Marine Corps during Vietnam.
He was most recently employed with Beverly Trucking for the last 15 years and before with A3M and Godchaux Refinery. He was a member of ABATE (American Bikers Active Towards Education) of Louisiana.
Lloyd was the loving father of Lloyd L. Whitehead Jr., Brittany Whitehead (Frank Williamson), Brandon Whitehead, Daniel Moritz and the late Jessica Whitehead; grandfather of Mariah Whitehead, Frank Williamson III, Kenzie Whitehead and Kamie Whitehead; son of the late Herb Taylor and Joyce Wolfe Taylor; and brother of Sally Bigelow, Rozz Sanders and the late Curtis Simpson.
He is also survived by his former spouse and close friend Melanie Millet and a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Saturday, July 22 at 1 p.m.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.
