Mervin & Janey Guillot celebrating 60 years of marriage

Mervin Guillot Sr., a retiree from Shell Oil Company, and Janey Accardo Guillot of LaPlace are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary July 6, 2017. The couple will celebrate with their family.
The Guillots were married on July 6, 1957, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Convent. They have two children: Mervin Guillot Jr. of LaPlace and his wife Robin Haydel Guillot and Cindy Weber of Destrehan and her husband Chris Weber.

They have three grandchildren: Michelle Richard, Alicia and Ryan and his wife Jessica Guillot, and four great grandchildren: Madeline, Alexia and Cooper Richard and Olivia Guillot.
When asked for their secret to a long relationship, they say it’s all about patience and love.
