- June 11, 1997: St. John the Baptist Parish Housing Authority honored 36 tenants who made the honor roll at a special Honor Roll Extravaganza at Regala Park. June 11, 1987: East St. John High School coach and athletic director Michael Coburn, left, presents Hilda Alexander with the Most Improved Participant and Vincent Landry with Most Outstanding Participant plaques for their performances in the Louisiana Senior Olympic Games. The two qualified to compete in the U.S. National Games.
