May 27, 1994: Two St. John Parish students won academic scholarships from the Louisiana Sheriff’s Honorary Membership Program. They are Angelia Dybendal, left, and Alex Elliot, right. Joining the pair is Sheriff Lloyd Johnson. Dybendal and Elliot are two of the 62 students statewide to be awarded the scholarships.
May 31, 1984: Ruth Klibert of Reserve is honored during a special ceremony at the Reserve Bantam Athletic Club weekend for her contribution to the program. Reserve Athletic Bantam Club President Chuckie Rousselle and Women’s Director Robert Becnel joined Charles Duhon, president of the Tri-Parish Girls Softball League, in presenting a trophy and plaque to Klibert, honored for coaching for 15 years.
