Nolan Walden passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at the age of 96.

He was born in Booneville, Miss., and was a resident of LaPlace.

He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Scott Walden; father of Beth Patterson (Roger) and the late John Walden (Sharon) and Kay Freeman (Glen); son of the late Arilla Barker Walden and Clifton Walden; and brother of Alice Arnold and the late Pauline Stennett, J. T. Walden and Hafford Walden.

Walden is also survived by five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Baptist Church of LaPlace, 120 Ormond Blvd. in LaPlace on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 11 a.m.

Visitation at the church is from 9 to 11 a.m.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Booneville Cemetery in Booneville.

Arrangements are by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home.
