Ashley Clement named Officer of the Month for St. John

LAPLACE — Deputy Ashley Clement was recognized as Officer of the Month by the St. John Business Association May 10 during the group’s meeting at Petra’s in LaPlace.
District Attorney Bridget A. Dinvaut was the Association’s featured speaker this month.
Clement was honored for her outstanding leadership and hard work coordinating the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office’s first health and benefits fair, which was a major success.
Accepting the award, Clement thanked Sheriff Mike Tregre for the opportunity to host the fair, as well as fellow officers who assisted her with presenting the event.
Clement began her career in 2012 with the Sheriff’s Office as a narcotics administration assistant, then she was transferred to the Property Taxes Department.
This year, she was transferred to the Human Resources Department.
