LULING — The River Region Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual crawfish boil April 20 at St. Charles Parish West Bank Bridge Park, selling nearly 500 tickets.

Organizers said the event offered a fun, relaxing atmosphere and ample networking opportunities for area businesses.

Jared Mire, Chamber crawfish boil chair, said the event was successful in fundraising for operating expenses and providing an opportunity for members to form valuable connections with others.

“Thanks to our amazing community of local businesses and friends for making this crawfish boil great,” Mire said. “It’s one of the biggest events of the calendar year, and it’s a lot of fun to come together, eat and do some business to business networking.”

Katie Klibert, marketing and public relations manager, RTC, has attended the crawfish boil event for several years now.

“I enjoy the crawfish boil so much each year, and honestly I wouldn’t miss it,” Klibert said. “It is just such a fun time and a wonderful networking opportunity. The atmosphere was great and the crawfish too.”
