Local students celebrate Holy Week through reenactments

 Veronica, portrayed by Abigail Vandenborre, shows her cloth after wiping the face of Jesus. Simon, played by Avery Carter, is seen helping Jesus carry his cross.

 

Jesus, portrayed by Abram Marix, is held in the arms of his mother, Mary, played by Tamia Washington, after being taken down from the cross. Ascension of Our Lord students presented the Living Way of the Cross to the entire student body on Holy Thursday.

Before the students at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School went out for their Easter break, they participated in a morning prayer service that commemorated the events of
Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday.
