Superintendents address legislators

St. John the Baptist Parish Public School Superintendent Kevin George, president of the South Central Louisiana Association of School Superintendents, recently led an Association meeting with members of the local legislative delegation, including representatives from St. John, St. Charles, Lafourche, Jefferson, St. James, St. Mary, Ascension and Assumption parishes.
St. John School Board Member Russ Wise, in green, was one of numerous local representatives attending the Superintendents Association meeting.
Legislators in attendance were Sen. Gary Smith, Rep. Stephanie Hilferty, Rep. Ed Price, Rep. Tony Bacala and Rep. Greg Miller.
