LUTCHER — St. James Parish Hospital officials recently announced the hospital is offering expanded clinic days and electrophysiology services through its affiliation with Ochsner Medical Center—Kenner.

The hospital recently welcomed Dr. Benjamin Romick, Interventional Cardiologist, to its team of world-class physicians providing local, ongoing cardiology support from Ochsner. Patients now have the flexibility to schedule outpatient cardiology appointments three days a week.

Romick, who recently attended the hospital’s Heart Smart event honoring American Heart Month, is also performing pacemaker placements, defibrillator placements and generator (battery) exchanges at St. James Parish Hospital.

These procedures can save lives and help patients who have an abnormal heart rhythm.

Outpatient cardiology appointments are available from 8 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Romick will see patients on Wednesday mornings. To schedule an appointment, call 225-258-2037.
