Aubert plans State Senate election run

It is with the humblest of heart that I, Elton Aubert, announce my candidacy for Louisiana State Senate District 2.

Elton Aubert

As a former Louisiana State Representative and former St. James Parish Councilman, I feel uniquely qualified to fill the vacant District 2 Senate seat.

There are many issues facing our state that have no easy fixes. However, with my experience as a public servant and my willingness to work along with others, I can be effective in drafting and supporting legislation to help move our state forward.

My experience includes over 20 years as a public servant including serving as Councilman for St. James Parish, Council Chairman, Louisiana Police Juror Association Executive Board Member and Louisiana Police Juror Association Vice President.

I also served four successful years as a Louisiana State Representative.

As a husband, father, community and church leader and volunteer and United States Air Force Veteran, I believe I have the experience, knowledge and temperament to lead this district.

I will promote continued job creation, educational opportunities matching industry and business needs of the area, upgrading of infrastructure to accommodate community growth and will work alongside my fellow constituents to help balance the state budget.

I humbly ask for your prayers and support on April 29.
