Michel: God’s grandness displayed in ways simple, complex

I don’t exactly have a green thumb, but I usually follow the directions attached to the plants I buy.

I’m glad do so with my yesterday, today and tomorrow plant because I am now enjoying its colorful display.

The flowers first bloom purple, fade to lavender the next day and are white on the third.

Dozens of tiny buds that line the stems promise that the show will go on for a while.

I love the image of the past, present and future beautifully existing together.

It is a daily reminder of the overwhelming grandness of God. He heals the hurts from the past, gives grace for today and hope for the future.

Our yesterdays, the minutes of today and all the tomorrows which stretch ahead form a glorious picture when we follow God’s direction and plant ourselves in Him.

Jeremiah 17:7 explains, “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat come; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

May our lives beautifully display God’s goodness.
