Austin powers to bowling golds
Austin Kipp, 8-year-old second grader at Emily C. Watkins Elementary School in LaPlace, was diagnosed approximately two years ago with autism, ADHD and sensory processing disorder.
He started playing t-ball with special Olympics last fall. He went to the state games in Lafayette, where his team came home with a silver medal.
This weekend Austin competed in Baton Rouge for the state bowling tournament and won a gold medal for his division in singles and doubles.
