April Marie Phillips passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at the age of 54.

She was a native of South Dayton, N.Y. and a resident of LaPlace.

April is survived by her loving companion, Rhett Jacob; daughters Ursula Jacob and Abby Jacob Molyneau (Isaiah); and grandchildren Isabella, Jacob and Ty.

She is survived by her mother, Catherine P. Miller; sisters Holly Sons and Sherry Phillips-Hymel (Ricky); and brother Barry P. Phillips.

April leaves behind her beloved dog, Fernando, and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she helped raise and dearly loved for over 25 years.

She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins living across the United States.

April was preceded in death by her father, Paul R. Phillips, paternal grandparents Glen R. Phillips and Georgia Ila Phillips; and maternal grandparents William and Catherine Prusinowski.
April’s enduring grace and grit over the last decade will forever be etched in our memories alongside those of our petite and perfectly pretty, April Ree. She will forever be missed and loved.

The family would like to thank Ms. Miriam who lovingly helped care for April and the countless friends and family who prayed for April’s peace.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in Laplace on Friday, March 3 at 8 p.m.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m.
