Edith Christine Layton passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Ochsner Medical Center in Gretna.

She was a native of New Haven, Conn., a resident of LaPlace and a retired Computer Consultant.

She was the beloved wife of Michael L. Layton of 50 years; mother of Christine D. Browning (Mark) and Michael L. Layton Jr. (Debra); grandmother of Sara Browning, Diane Browning and Michael L. Layton III; and daughter of the late James V. Zeoli and Vivian Steeves Zeoli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1900 Greenwood Dr. in LaPlace on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.

Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
