Debbie was born on Jan. 29, 1954, in Osceola, Ark. She lived the past 17 years in Metairie.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, friend and companion of the past 17 years, Joe Nettles. She is also survived by her children: Tammy LeBouef Roussel, Chantel Webre (Chris), Summer LeBouef Stevenson (Shawn), Duane Wiggin-Nettles (Jane-Allison), Daniel Nettles (Jennifer) and Kelli Nettles.

Debbie was a proud “Mawsy” of her grandchildren: Alexis, Nicholas, Logan, Jackson, Mia, Felicity, Jude, Bennett, Josiah, Anna Marie and William. Debbie is also survived by her loving mom, Betty “B.J.” Loyd Crump, and her mother-in-law, Nelwyn LeBouef.

She is survived by her siblings: Scott Loyd, Jeanie Teuber and Sonya Trigo (Tommy). Debbie will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Darol LeBouef; father, Alvin “Pete” Loyd; brother, Brian Loyd; and son-in-law, Johnny Boynton.

Debbie was a fun-loving mother, sister, grandmother, wife, daughter, aunt and friend. She never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone she met.

Debbie loved to dance and enjoy life. One of Debbie’s greatest joys in her life was her grandchildren.

She especially enjoyed going to Special Olympics events and cheering for the special athletes.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the local Bayouland Special Olympics Chapter in c/o Special Olympics: P.O. Box 1619, Luling, LA, 70070.

The family would like to thank all of the medical staff at Ochsner Kenner Hospital and Canon Hospice for their wonderful care for Debbie.

Services for Debbie will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

A visitation will be held prior to service from 9 to 11 a.m.

Interment will be private at a later date.
