WALKER — Multiple media reports last week indicated Denny Cutrer, 39, and Jennifer Haywood, 37, each of LaPlace, were arrested for not completing repair work within the legal window following devastating floods in the greater Baton Rouge area in the summer of 2016.

According to The Advocate, Walker police spokesman Capt. John Sharp said a city resident paid the duo’s business, Perfection Painting, $7,200 in advance but only received a small amount of work.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested the suspects after detectives discovered their company’s listed address was false.

Cutrer and Haywood were each booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center for felony residential contractor fraud and misapplication of payments by a contractor charges.

Anyone else who entered into a contract with Cutrer, Haywood or Perfection Painting is asked to contact Walker Police at 225-664-3125.
