LAPLACE — Donors who give blood today in St. John the Baptist Parish have the chance to support St. John Relay for Life in the process.

In honor of National Blood Donor Month, St. John the Baptist Parish is sponsoring a Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in the LaPlace shopping center parking lot near the former Radio Shack (next to the Percy Hebert Building.)

For each person who donates blood, United Way will give a $3 donation to the St. John Relay for Life team to be used toward cancer research and awareness. All donors receive a free “Find the Hero in You” coffee mug. Mugs come in black, grey and red and are while supplies last.
